Wonder how many times I’ve heard that you get out of life what you put into it? (like, a zillion!?)
My life is a rollercoaster. (there’s that darn metaphor again! at least I’m sticking to just the one today. You’re welcome! haha!)
And if I’ve learned anything (especially recently!), it’s that life is just picking up momentum when it’s on the “down” part of the ride (which also doesn’t really last all that long either, if you think about it!)
Life is so much better when I choose to be positive or to see the silver lining in a not-so-great situation. Living from any other perspective doesn’t serve me or those in my life… nor is it any fun.
And rollercoasters are supposed to be fun ~ that’s why there are always such long lines to get on them, right? and the screaming? and hands in the air? FUN! (“FUN”?? there’s that theme again! what, does this chick only repeat herself?! haha!)
this all reminds me of the quote by Hunter S. Thompson:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming “Wow! What a Ride!”
Now that sounds FUN!
