Can’t believe it’s the end of October already – and you know what that means!
Have a spooktacular day!
Hope your day is filled with lots of treats and maybe a few tricks to keep you on your toes
Thanks for stopping by – have a great weekend!
Well, it was simply beautiful here yesterday.
Sun was shining.
Amazing blue sky.
And the COLORS!
Here, let me show you:
Made me think, “what was it like this time last year?”
So I looked and…
It was snowing!!
Yep, one year ago (yesterday, when I intended to post this!) was our first measurable snowfall.
Glad there is a difference this year!
Oh Mother Nature… you sure do keep us on our toes!
Thanks for stopping by – have a great day!
Welcome to my favorite time of year!
In a few short weeks, the colors of Fall will be painting the trees and shrubs.
The farmers will be out in their fields harvesting their crops.
And there will be a refreshing crispness in the air.
So I thought I’d share a few photos from my trek around during peak colors last year:
“Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.” (Albert Camus)
“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the Fall.” (F. Scott Fitzgerald)
Clearly it’s not just my favorite season – other people do get awfully poetic this time of year!
Get ready to go out and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer!
Thanks for stopping by – have a great day!!

It’s hard to believe, with all of the photos of blooming roses (and other florals) I’ve been posting recently, that the first day of Autumn is just a few weeks away…
You all must know by now that Autumn is my favorite season (perhaps minus the seasonal allergies, but I digress!) and my favorite reason for living in a 4-season climate!
All of the colors painted in nature.
And the crispness of the air.
And football! (I do so love watching football)
Believe me, it’s still Summer outside right now (oh, the humidity! haha!) so I’ll keep on enjoying that, but soon enough…
Thanks for stopping by – have a great Labor Day!
We are having a wonderful taste of Spring today!
I decided to puddle-jump instead of be grouchy with all the standing water from melting snow – after all, clothes and body can be washed and dried – why not have some fun and adventure? (yeah, even if I look a little stupid doing it!)
My cardinal friend just kind of sat there and watched me…
probably wondering why I just didn’t take off!
I admit it, the closer it gets to the official start day of Spring, the more difficult it is to “enjoy the current season” (humph!)
And then, I talk to my wonderful friend in Florida today who told me that he was heading to the beach (the one I went to last summer) and that he was having difficulty hearing me with the top down on his convertible.
Not that he was rubbing it in. (yeah, right! he was totally rubbing it in! lol!)
So here’s his view today:
And here’s mine:
At least we both have blue skies!
And in my defense, the snow is melting!
But suddenly, one of us is re-thinking their choice in winter-weather homes.
I wonder… can you guess which one?
(ps: I mentioned I’m still not complaining, right?!)
I haven’t shared a photowalk for a while. So, with winter coming to an end (soon!) and spring fever rearing up, I thought I’d share a summer trip I took not too long ago to…
There is a lot to do and see there besides the more well-known choices of catching a Major League Baseball game, the Miller Brewery tour (which in all honesty, was a blast!), and the Harley Davidson museum.
But there’s a lot more – the stunningly beautiful St. Josaphat Basilica, for example. And the downtown is a fantastic mix of old and modern buildings.
Ladybugs on the side of a building? Ok!
The Milwaukee Art Museum has several draws including the War Memorial Center, Cudahy Gardens and the Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion (photo) – seriously, it’s a must-go place:
There’s also a Riverwalk in the downtown which my friend Arthur and I personally give…
a thumbs-up! hehe!!
yep – that’s The Fonz (um… statue of course!) watching over the river.
I had a lot of fun & realize I’d like to go back at some point…
in the summer!! haha!
Sorry WI peeps – but there are way more things to do in the summer (and do I really have to point out the obvious temperature and weather truths?!) like free street fests and giant music fests at the fairgrounds to name a few.
Hey, did you notice that not once did I mention cheese?! (oh, oops! haha!!)
I spent an hour or so outside today.
It was warm enough for some melting and the sun was shining (well, at the moment it still is…) and it just felt good to be outside.
It’s not exactly warm enough to just hang out, after all it is still Winter, so I came back in to do some work.
As I was going through some of my more recent bubble photos I was particularly drawn to the reflection in this one:
Is it just me, or is that bubble reflecting lips?
Pink lips, to be more specific.
Well, sorry to…
burst your bubble! (hahaha!! yeah I did!!)…
but it’s not actually pink lips.
I don’t know what is really being reflected – all I know is that when I started writing I knew I just had to do the ‘burst your bubble’ joke! hahaha!!
Don’t they look happy?!
I think we’re all a bit happy to see water that’s not iced up or snowed over…
even this girl is finding it a little less easy to fully embrace the current season.
The good news (still not complaining) is that Spring begins in less than 3 weeks (technically!)
The snow sure is pretty though.
And the air is crisp and fresh.
Oh, and let’s not forget the ducks – they’re happy!
Have a great week!
